VU Ngoc Anh is working at La Javaness (France), he is in charge of innovative digital economy projects for industry and service groups as well as the French government, particularly in developing applications of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain. He was formerly employed in the United States (IBM Research Center for Development Research in California), in Japan (KDDI Research and Development Center in Saitama), in France (Ernst & Young Global Consulting Group, 250,000 staff in the world) and in Vietnam (Officience).
He participated in a five-year strategic plan to implement R&D policies of the French National Telecommunications Group (€ 45 billion in revenue, 2008).
He has experiences in:
Advising on high level strategy & management for global technology corporations, including multi-billion dollar strategic planning, fiscal policy development, process management for leading technology corporations in Europe;
Advising the World Bank & MOST on the implementation of innovation and creativity policies based on research, science & technology.
Participating in the establishment and operation of many think tanks on promoting French-Vietnamese economic and technological cooperation in order to build new economic growth factors and models (in addition to raw materials and cheap labor in Viet Nam).
He has two master’s degrees at France’s two leading universities: Applied Mathematics (Ecole Polytechnique) and Digitization (Telecom ParisTech). He won a bronze medal at the International Physics Olympiad and received full scholarships from three governments (Australia, Japan and France) for undergraduate and graduate studies.

Being the capital of France, Paris inherits a strong financial system as well as a remarkable pool of both technology and business human resource. Within the last 5 years, the city has maximized the benefits of national politics and has genuinely designed local initiatives to foster a pro-innovation culture among different players. The speaker will lay out the panorama of such a dynamic ecosystem and present illustrative initiatives enabling Paris to become one of the most dynamic innovation metropoles of the world.
