– Has nearly forty years working in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
– Graduated in Applied Mathematics from Hanoi University of Technology (1978); Master of Science (1984) and Doctor (1987) in Artificial Intelligence from University of Paris 6, and Habilitation à Diriger de Recherche (1998) from University Paris 9, France.
– Worked at the Institute of Information Technology, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (1979-1993) where he was an Associate Professor in 1991. He was Visiting Associate Professor in 1993 and Professor in 1998 at Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) in Japan. From 4.2018 he is Professor Emeritus of JAIST, the Director of Data Science Lab at Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) and Director of John von Neumann Institute of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
[Abstract] Presentation: 10 points to AI in Vietnam
Artificial Intelligence (AI) will certainly play a crucial role for each country in the digital transformation time. However, AI in each country should be appropriately developed according to its context. In this talk, we share our opinion on what could be AI for Vietnam. It leads to various tasks to do such as building the digital infrastructure and AI for SME, among others.
